Il 6 febbraio 2018 è stato inaugurato il telescopio EEE installato presso l’IIS Alessandrini - Marino di Teramo, grazie alla collaborazione del Dr. Daniele De Gruttola, ricercatore del Centro Fermi e degli studenti dell’Istituto, coordinati dal Prof. Riccardo Chiucchi. L’inaugurazione è avvenuta alla presenza della Professoressa Luisa Cifarelli, Presidente del Centro Fermi, della Professoressa Stefania Nardini, Dirigente Scolastica dell’IIS Alessandrini e delle autorità cittadine, il dott. Edoardo D’Alascio subcomissario prefettizio del Comune di Teramo e il dott. Mirko Rossi, assessore all’edilizia scolastica della Provincia di Teramo. Il Telescopio è stato costruito nei laboratori del CERN di Ginevra dagli stessi studenti, ed è attualmente il terzo telescopio in presa dati nella regione Abruzzo. Nel corso della giornata sono state, inoltre, consegnate dalla Professoressa Cifarelli alcune borse di studio per premiare undici studenti che si sono distinti in diversi campi nell’anno scolastico 2016-2017. «L’Alessandrini-Marino» afferma la DS Nardini «da anni partecipa al progetto Extreme Energy Events. Siamo molto orgogliosi che la nostra Scuola sia coinvolta in una sperimentazione così importante dal punto di vista scientifico. Studenti e insegnanti continueranno a partecipare al progetto in tutte le fasi successive». La giornata si è conclusa con la visita da parte dei circa 200 studenti partecipanti all’inaugurazione al laboratorio che ospita il telescopio, con taglio del nastro da parte della Prof.ssa Cifarelli.
On the 6th of February the opening cerimony for the EEE telescope, installed in the school ISS Alessandrini – Marino in Teramo, took place. The telescope was installed thanks to the work of Dr. Daniele De Gruttola, researcher of Centro Fermi, and of the students of the school, supervised by Prof. Riccardo Chiucchi. The cerimony took place in presence of Prof. Luisa Cifarelli, President of Centro Fermi, Prof. Stefania Nardini, head teacher of the school and the city authorities, Dr. Edoardo D’Alascio and Dr. Mirko Rossi. The telescope was built at the CERN laboratories by the students and it is currently the third telescope taking data in the region Abruzzo. During the cerimony eleven students were awarded by Prof. Cifarelli. «Our school is participating since a few years to the Extrem Energy Events Project and we are proud of our involvement in this important scientific activity. Students and teachers will continue to be strongly involved in the project» these are words by Prof. Stefania Nardini. The cerimony ended with a visit of about 200 students that were present to the laboratory hosting the telescope and with the ribbon cutting by Prof. Cifarelli.
